Are there any discounts? If I am a student, can I get the scale for free?

Unfortunately, we cannot give our scales away for free.  However, we do offer a discount for Master’s and Doctoral students.  Please check our order forms for the specific prices and discounts we offer.

Can I buy scales if I am an undergraduate student?

If you are an undergraduate student, please have your professor purchase the scale for you.

Unfortunately, there are some scales that we do not sell anymore, PAIR being one of them.  We are working on updating the reliability of some of our scales, as they are out of date.  In the meantime, we recommend trying our Three Couple Scales in place of PAIR.

We have many different languages available for our current research products – over 30 translations!  Reach out to our Customer Experience team to find out if a scale is available in a certain language.

Can I create a translation of the scale that I want to use?

Most likely, our scales have already been translated into your specified language.  Reach out to our Customer Experience team to find out if we have it available!

No, if you change the items in our scales, they lose their validity and reliability.

Can I buy your scales and use them to create my own assessment?

Our items are copyrighted.  By purchasing one of our scales, you are agreeing to our copyright and will not use the items to create your own assessment.

An abstract is a summary of your research or what you plan to research. In order to provide you with a permission letter, you’ll need to purchase the scale and submit the abstract form. Our Customer Experience team will send you the form if it’s not received with your order.

It does not need to be the final abstract, but enough information so that we can understand your project and how you’ll be using the scale.

You will only receive one permission letter per scale purchase, which allows you to use the scale for one project. If you’d like to use the scale for another project, we would recommend purchasing (permission to use) the scale again.

Can I buy a scale and allow my whole team to use it for the same project?

Yes, as long as they are all working on the same project.

Some of the scales are scored via an Excel template, while others need to be hand scored.  Instructions are included with each package.

If you are assessing couples and are looking for a product that is scored automatically and produces a ready-to-use report of their results, consider utilizing the full Prepare/Enrich assessment.

What are the validity and reliability levels of the scales?

All of our scales have high validity and reliability.  The exact levels vary by scale and can be found in the research articles provided with each scale package and on the website.
